The legally binding version of this privacy policy is the German version. This English translation is provided for convenience.
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
bitrockers GmbHWe only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide this website and to respond to your enquiries. This website is purely informational and does not use cookies, tracking or web analytics.
When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical connection data that your browser transmits to the server. In particular:
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the technically reliable, secure and needs-based delivery of the website.
This website is delivered via the content delivery network Amazon CloudFront, operated by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg, where applicable involving Amazon Web Services, Inc., 410 Terry Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109, USA. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Amazon Web Services.
A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Amazon Web Services is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so transfers can take place on the basis of an adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR. In addition, EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR are used.
A DNS provider is also used for domain resolution; only technically necessary connection data is processed in that context.
If you contact us by email or telephone, the information you provide (e.g. name, telephone number, email address, content of the enquiry) is processed in order to handle your request and for any follow-up. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract; otherwise, it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We delete your data once it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
For the automated handling of telephone enquiries we use the IONOS AI Phone Assistant. It processes call content on our behalf in order to capture, forward or respond to your request. This involves automatic speech recognition (speech-to-text), semantic analysis (natural language processing) and, where applicable, text generation (text-to-speech).
Call content may be recorded, transcribed or documented. This only takes place if you have been informed accordingly at the beginning of the call and continue the conversation. You can end the call at any time to avoid such processing.
In particular, your statements during the call, technical connection data (date, time, duration) and, where applicable, voluntarily disclosed master data such as your name or telephone number are processed. Interaction data is also processed, e.g. for call routing or in the event of disconnections.
The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (for the initiation or performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient and scalable communication).
For technical implementation we use sub-processors, in particular for hosting, speech recognition and semantic analysis. In this context, personal data may also be transferred to the USA by sub-processors. Such transfers are generally based on an adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR, as the providers are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where no such decision applies, transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR and supplementary safeguards. The requirements of Art. 44 GDPR are complied with.
To improve speech processing, pseudonymised data may be used for training purposes. Tracing back to individual persons is excluded or made significantly more difficult. Automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
Data is only stored for as long as is necessary for the purposes stated. It is then automatically deleted or anonymised.
This website does not use cookies, web analytics tools, tracking or profiling services, or embedded third-party content (e.g. fonts, maps, videos, social media plugins).
Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights:
To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen), P.O.
